Les Voisins du Temps grew out of a simple observation: you can live a few metres from one another and never meet.
The association brings together volunteers, older people, families, businesses and local organisations to rebuild lasting human ties.
This is not only about doing someone a favour. It is about spending time together, passing things on, listening, learning, and letting everyone keep an active place in their own neighbourhood.
Registration is open for the autumn digital workshops, in all four local branches.
1 à 2 h par semaine A volunteer visits an older person living alone on a regular basis.
Ateliers individuels ou collectifs Learning to use a smartphone, send photos, make a video call or complete a simple task online.
Sur inscription The market, a walk, an appointment, the library, an exhibition, or simply a few steps outdoors.
Gratuit A regular call to check in and keep human contact with the most isolated people.
A few hours a month are enough to be matched with someone living near you.
Collective actions that let a company's staff take part in workshops or intergenerational meetings.
Employee volunteers support older people with everyday digital tasks.
A company or a partner can fund the actions run in its own area, directly.
At first, Léa came round to help me with my phone. Now we mostly talk about our week over a coffee.
I thought I was giving two hours of my time. In the end I probably get as much back as I give.
That day let our teams take part in a local action that was very concrete and, above all, very human.
