Studio Oblique photographs buildings, construction sites and the people who make them. Marin Delaveau has worked for eleven years with architecture practices, social landlords and main contractors, mainly across western France.
Architectural photography demands two things you cannot improvise: turning up at the right hour, and correcting the verticals. The rest is patience, a scouting visit the day before, and accepting that a north-facing facade cannot be photographed at three in the afternoon in December.
The studio is on the ground floor of a former workshop, eighty square metres, paper backdrop and continuous light. Corporate portraits are shot there in series, one person every ten minutes, or on your own site if you would rather the setting were yours.
